We Love You Captain James!!

As many of you know, our best friend was called back to Iraq in Janurary. We had a little going away dinner for him on Friday. Elissa took him to the airport today at noon. Things you can all pray for:
1. Please pray for James' safety
2. Please pray for James' happiness while being gone for a year. Pray that he will make great friends that help the time to pass as quickly as possible.
3. Please pray for Elissa's happiness, I can not imagine Jarred being gone for over a year. Pray that her time be occupied so the year will fly by.
4. Pray for peace for them both!
5. Pray for James to have great wisdom in all situations.
5. Pray for Kelly dog, she is really going to miss her dad! ;-)
6. Please pray again for James' safety.

We love these guys so much! They are the best friends that anyone could ask for and we hate to see them hurting about being apart for so long. But one thing is for sure, we are so proud of James. We can all sleep in peace knowing that people like James are fighting for us! Thanks for all your prayers for our dear friends! I will try to update on how he is doing throughout the year.

34 Week Picture

Here we are at 34 weeks! I hate to see what we will look like if we go to 38 or 39 weeks, but I can't complain. I am so happy she is still cooking! ;-)

My next goal....Ava arrives safely! (Someone better bring me the cupcake in the hospital...ha!)
It won't be long...we hope! ;-)

Happy "Love" Day!

Jarred surprised me and took me out to a nice dinner on Friday night. He did not want me up on my feet to long since I can only have about 2 hours up and he figured the lines might be bad tonight. He asked me Friday morning if I had a dress I could wear to dinner. I told him that I had the one that I wore to my shower and he said that would be perfect?!? He told me we had dinner reservations at 6:00....I was super excited! We ate at Americas and the food was AWESOME, it was so nice to get a great dinner out! Have I told you guys lately how lucky I am....I sure do love my hubby!I surprised Jarred with breakfast this morning. I hung hearts in the kitchen that told him the things I loved about him! Here were a few:
1. I love that you are so handy!
2. I love that you always make me laugh...my days are never boring!
3. I love that you will be such a great dad (I know he will be by the way he treats Rozzy...He puts ice in his water bowl!)
4. I love that he always prays before we eat. I think I will never forget his prayer from this morning....He thanked God for both of his Valentines. I sure do love this man!
Jarred's breakfast was hearts and more hearts!Hope your day was romantic!

Praise Update

My friend has had a lot of trouble getting pregnant and once she is pregnant the baby never develops and gets a heartbeat. Well, she is pregnant and at 9:30 this morning the baby has a heartbeat! Prasie God! He is so good. Please continue to pray for a healthy pregnancy and healthy baby! Words can't describe the joy I feel for them....I have been crying for about an hour already! I sure can't wait to spoil and meet him or her! Maybe that will be Ava's husband...ha! (I would settle for it to be her best friend too!) :)

Doctor Update

Really there is no news to report. She is still doing well. I even measured a little better this week, I am sure I will get another ultrasound next week! The doctor will cut the cerlage out in about 3 1/2 weeks...yikes. (I had one put in when I was already 40% effaced at 15 weeks to keep me from dilating since she was so low and there was so much pressure). He said I might go into labor right away, I guess we will see. That seems really soon, I still feel like I have so much to do, but we are all getting ready!

This is what we were up to this weekend:

My Mother-in-law, Susie, was here and I put her to work sewing. Have you ever seen such cute burp clothes? And look at those pillows! Jarred put the stroller together too! We are trying to get everything done. I have so much scrapbooking to get caught up on....I better get busy!

Shower of Blessings---Part 3

On Saturday, I had Showers of Blessings---Part 3. My 3 sweet friends hosted me a shower to help welcome baby Ava. They all did such a wonderful job. I was amazed at all the details. I am so blessed to have the best friends anyone could ask for!

The roses were made out of socks! And don't you just love that the water was in a ducky tub?
Of course, they got the cake from my favorite place---Randalls!

We played a fun game of "Guess that Baby Food". I can't believe Ava will have to eat some of these...yuck!

This is an outfit from Aunt Boon! We are taking this to the hospital, it is so soft and warm and even has a blanket to match. She also gave Ava her first camara so she can be just like her Mommy. Ava is going to love her Aunt Boon!

As many of you know, Jarred's best friend James got called back to Iraq in early Jan.
He has been out of the military for 2 years but they needed more officers. We were all very upset about it, but we know God works everything for our good. Please keep James in your prayers and his wife Elissa. We truly love them like family!
Uncle Jimmy bought a onesie for Ava that says "Don't mess with me, my uncle is a soldier"
She will wear this and wear it proud! We are all proud of you Uncle Jimmy and we thank you for serving our country....(but we can't wait for you to come back!)

My neighbor growing up (I always called her my second mom) made this awesome quilt. I wish you all could see it, it is fabulous and she even made a quilted basket liner to match. Her daughter, my friend Leslie gave her a basket of goodies and a beenie baby that she collected over the years.

Ava's first Bible...what an awesome gift!

I got so many gifts that I needed. I got my stroller, car seat, bottles, breast pump, baby monitor....I could go on and on, but I thank you all from the bottom of my heart. I keep saying it, but we are BLESSED!!

Doctor update

This week we got another ultrasound. She is looking good. My normal ultrasound tech was out so I did not get any cool pictures(bummer)! Well, my little girl almost weighs 4 pounds. When she told me I prayed out loud, "Lord, please don't let me have a huge baby"! I am sure he(God) rolled his eyes and told me, "Angela, make up your mind"...ha!

She is still bouncing around like a gymnast. I am starting to get a little uncomfortable because her "big feet" are right in my ribs and her head must be sitting perfectly on top of my bladder which causes me to go the the bathroom often without much warning! But, we can't complain! God is so Good! I am 32 weeks so not too much longer to go, I can't wait to meet my little princess.

I have a big weekend coming up. I have another shower that my friends are throwing me...I can't wait! I feel so BLESSED! Hope you guys are all having a great week!

P.S. The nursery is almost finished, I am just waiting on the curtains then I will give you a tour of her room and a tour of her closet. Beware, you will be super jealous of all her cute things to wear...I am!

Look what came today, her first Easter dress! One more outfit to add to the closet...ha!

Are all these gifts for ME?

Jarred and my MIL were unloading all the gifts from the car and Rozzy was so excited! He would go to each bag and peek in. I turned my back for one minute and he had the glow seahorse out of the bag and was running for his dog bed. Don't worry, I ran and grabbed the seahorse, it was not hurt. He looked so sad, maybe he needs a glow seahorse too! Poor Ava, she is always going to be missing toys I am afarid!

Shower of Blessings!

My sweet aunts hosted a shower for Ava today. It was so sweet! We are so blessed to have so much family living so close. We got so many wonderful things. Wait until you see her closet! :)

Doesn't this blanket just scream ME! I love anything monogrammed!

Mimi's Princess...how cute is this?

Ava's first purse. Like Mommy, Like Daughter! Sorry Jarred!

You can't really tell from the picture, but this is a cute mat she can lay on when she is on the floor. Later, it can function as a sleeping bag and the pink poodle is a pillow(It also has a pink poodle on the mat). How cute is this?

My family knows me, a picture on the cake....how perfect!

God has blessed Jarred and I with the best families anyone could ask for! I am so thankful for my sweet family!
