Happy 30th Birthday to my sweet husband!

Happy Birthday to the person I love! You make life so happy! I love to laugh with you, to talk with you, to pray with you, to study with you, (I could go on and on)! I know that from this day forward, I am going to love being a parent with you. God has blessed me with you and I hope your day is awesome! Happy 30th Birthday OLD MAN!

Last Day until Ava is here!

Guess what I did today? I spent the afternoon at Spa Nordstroms and let me tell you it was AWESOME! I had a facial, foot treatment/soak, and a pregnancy massage. I can honestly tell you I did not want to leave. What a great way to relax before the big day! After I got home, Jarred and I went to eat at Chili's...I let him choose since his birthday is tomorrow and we will be at the hospital! I had a great day! We are sure ready to meet our little princess!

38 Week Picture

Here we are at 38 weeks. I know the black shirt again....what can I say it is my favorite. (The best part is that it was cheap, Target has the best maternity clothes...as you can see they last! Ha!) We are now 39 weeks and just a couple more days to go. I have had a busy week and Jarred and I have much planned to do together this weekend. And I am trying to sleep a lot, that is the advice I keep getting. ;-)

Doctor Update

I was a little more dilated today so hopefully that means I will not have to have a C-section. I am scheduled to go in next Tuesday March 31st...Jarred's 30th Birthday! How cool would that be? They are going to try to see if I will dilate more and if I can't he will preform a C-section. I got to see her today on ultrasound. She looked so crowded in there, she was just hanging out. They say she weighs about 6 1/2 pounds and should gain another 1/2 pound by next week. I can't wait to see her in person, what am I going to do for a whole week...the time is going by so slow.

Please pray for a healthy baby. I will be worried until she arrives safely and then I know there will be a whole new set of worries. I thank God we have made it full term, he is so good!

I will keep you all posted if she decides to come early, she might want her own birthday! Thanks for praying for us, we have both felt them this entire pregnancy!

Our Week

Well, I have been sick this week. This is the first time my whole pregnancy that I have been sick. I had to get the doctor to call me in an antibiotic. I am starting to feel better and I hope by the end of the weekend I will be my old self. My friend Amanda came and cooked us dinner one night. She said she wanted to see me before I was a mommy(she is pregnant with her first, so she will be a mommy soon too!)...have I mentioned that I have AWESOME friends? We celebrated Elissa's birthday a little late because she got to spend her real birthday with James(she went to Kentucky to visit him). We had dinner and cake together once she got back!
James update:
James finally got his orders on where he will deploy to. We were all hoping and praying it would not be Afghanistan since the violence has recently peaked there. Can you guess where he is going? Yes, he is going to Afghanistan. I don't know what it is with the army always sending James to the most dangerous places....grrrrrr. Jarred said his Ol' Spames(what Jarred calls him) can handle it. Please pray for his safety. He will be home this week to visit before he has to leave. We are excited to see him, it is going to be a long year!

Ava update:
We thought she was going to arrive on St. Patricks day. I started having contractions at 1:45 and they were coming every 5 minutes. I got up and called my mom, then took a bath and even did my hair! Of course after all the excitement the contrations subsided about 4:15. No Ava after all. ;-( I go the the doctor on Monday so I will let you guys know what is happening!

Hope you all had a great week and a very happy weekend!

Preggo Shots

Thought I would share the progression of the belly! I should have taken a few more in between!

It appears she is getting a little lower...ha! More photos to come. Enjoy your weekend!

Update

We are home...as I predicted. I had not changed much since last week and once the stitch was removed the doctor was concerned about the scar tissue that had formed, due to this I may have to have a C-Section. He informed me to call him if any changes but we would see how things look next Monday and then make a decision. Thanks for your prayers!

I will keep you all posted!

Tomorrow

Please keep us in your prayers. I go to have the stitch out tomorrow morning and Jarred and I have to stay and walk for the morning. The doctor will then check me and decide if we should stay or if I can go home. Luckily there is a mall close by so we can walk there....I know Jarred is so excited. Please pray it will not hurt. I can't believe that tomorrow could be the day(I really don't think so...I bet we will be coming home but we are taking our bags just in case!)

I will keep you all posted!

A room fit for a princess!

Welcome to the tour of Ava's room. Sorry it took me so long. I still have a few things to do (like hang artwork but I did not want to keep all of you in suspense another minute!) I hope she loves it as much as her mommy does! Her Daddy worked so hard on this room, we are the two luckiest girls.

These are a few of my favorite things.... from Ava's closet!

Beware, you may all be super jealous! You would not believe all the clothes this girl already has. She is one lucky girl! Some of my favorites (there are too many to show them all!) Enjoy!
My Favorite:

Her grandparents live in the country on a farm. How cute is this? They had to give her a "girly" cowboy hat! I'm sure Pa-paw will be her #1 Cowboy!

Her first linen dress:

I can't wait to dress her! I may have to change her every 30 minutes...ha!

Our new back yard

Look what Jarred has been working on! It is looking so good. All that is left is new grass and a few more plants. My hubby is so talented!! I can't wait until it is finished, I think I may live out there! Ha! ;-) If weather permits it will be complete by this weekend!

Doctor Update

I had an appointment yesterday and to my surprise I am a little over 1 cm dilated...yeah! We get the stitch out Monday and they are hoping I will stay about 1 cm till then. I am getting really uncomfortable at this point(out of breathe, a little swelling, constant trips to restroom, and not a whole lot of sleep). She is totally worth it, I am just so thankful she has enjoyed hanging out with mommy this long! Please pray for a healthy mom and baby...it won't be long!

The best doctor and the best nurses anyone could ask for! Let me know if you need a good team, they are AWESOME!

Got Milk?

My neighbor took some maternity pics of me last week. Look what pulled up as we were snapping away photos. A milk truck....could it get more perfect?
More photos to come! We took a ton, I need to show you all my big belly...ha! ;-)

Happy Pre-30th Birthday Jarred!

I gave Jarred a little pre-30th birthday party since we might either have a baby or be having a baby. It was suppose to be a surprise but Jarred found out....Oh well, we still had a great time. I got food from Olive Garden and got his favorite mint chocolate chip ice cream cake from Baskin Robbins. I wanted him to have a special day because I feel so blessed to have him.

Doctor Appointment Update

Everything is still looking good. The stitch is coming out in less than two weeks. I think the best part is.....NO MORE SHOTS! I am sure getting excited to meet my little princess. Pictures of her room coming soon, I promise.

Thank God this is over...Jarred and a needle--scary! ;-)
