We were so very lucky to have all the family together this July! It was such a special time spent together loving on Mamaw as she is battling cancer. Times likes these are precious and I know that she LOVED every minute!(I think she told me 5 times what a wonderful day it was!) She is a gem to this family, one that has passed on such a legacy that many many more generations will be blessed because of her.
She got to meet the newest member to the family, Katherine Grace.
Big family meals are the best! (I love all the noisy conversations and laughter!)
We had a special prayer time before lunch. It was a sweet time that we prayed for healing for mamaw.
The kiddos loved playing with all their cousins! For some this was the first time meeting!
The kid table now holds the "new" kiddos. The older ones finally graduated.
Thankful for this sweet family. I have grown to love them as my own!

4th of July Weekend Part 2
Lots of fun in the sun this weekend! We had such a great time in the hill country. (Bonus was it was only 20 minutes from Schlitterbahn! Maybe they will let us come every year. Ha)
Think these two may get married???
And then it was time for fireworks. It was beautiful watching them on the lake.
This was my favorite image of the weekend! Its perfect, Pure joy!
My little firecrackers...
Thankful for this country and the men and women who fight to keep it free! What a great 4th of July shared with friends. To think, it was nearly 20 years ago that a 4th of July firecracker war brought Jarred and James together!! And, now are these years later we still celebrate together but now as a larger family! Thankful for the V's.
We arrived just in time for a swim!
Mrs. V loves 4th of July and she did not disappoint this weekend!
It was all of us against James. It was WAR! (Even Carson was on my side! But it was only because I refueled his water gun every 3 minutes.)
The most fun was probably the water races!
Me and my man!
The girls loved decorating their star cookies. (See, every detail was perfect!)

4th of July weekend fun(Part 1)
This is the best place I remember as a kid. I can remember it taking forever to get there(a 4 hour trip felt like all day back then). So many happy memories with my family. I am so glad I have kept the tradition every year with my girls. I was a little sad not to have my sister running us from ride to ride, she will have to come next year! We brought our best buds this year, and I can happily say that they loved it!! The tradition continues...
Until next year! Thanks Schlitterbahn for the happy old memories and the happy new memories!

More Swimming....Shocker, I know!
Play date with my best buds. Not to tell our age but this year we have been out of high school for 15 years!!! Add on all the years because we actually met in middle school our age is getting on up there(insert wrinkles, post baby bodies, and grey hairs!). I LOVE these girls. It really has been a privilege to share life with them from way back then to now. We were sitting and enjoying our pizza and Alecia said, did you ever think this would be us?!? No, but I would say we are pretty blessed. Thanks for loving and sharing life with me Alecia and Amanda! You are worth more than gold to me!
We are enjoying every minute of summer!
