Happy Birthday Ashley!!

Happy Birthday to my Sister! We had such a fun day together. She wanted to go to the beach because there is a fun little shop that has Emily Ray earrings. It was what she wanted for her birthday....this is what she gets every year! We had her birthday lunch at Landry's
Then off to the beach. We wanted to take Ava's picture....we only stayed for a few minutes because I did not want her to get any sun.

Picture this:

A really nice store, expensive things, and a screaming baby. Yes, that was us! Ava is really never fussy so I should have know something was wrong. I was trying to look at earrings so my mom took her from me. I heard my mom call my name.

That was when I saw it.

Poop. Everywhere.

It was all over my mom, all over me, and all over my sister and her purse. I am sure the people in the store were horrified.

My mom and I rushed her to the dressing room and got clean up. My poor baby had poop every where. It was all over her cute outfit, on her shoes, and on almost every inch of her body. How had we missed this? It was truly an explosion of poop.

We stripped her down and got to work cleaning her up. As I was cleaning she was smiling. Yes, she thought it was FUNNY to embarrass her mom in a swanky store.

and Ashley will have to have her purse dry cleaned.

My lesson learned today: never leave the house unprepared. Luckily for us we were.

Show Us Were You Live Friday--Master Bedroom

Welcome to our Master Bedroom.....
Funny story about our furniture....
My mom, Aunt Brenda, and I went into a furniture store one Saturday afternoon and they had a drawing for this bed. I was entering us and they were making fun of me because they said people really don't win Angela! Well, guess what? I WON the bed! Is that cool or what. It is a beautiful bed and I felt blessed to have won it. Jarred and I were about to get married and we needed bedroom furniture!Had to include one with my little princess!
Our dresser. My in-laws gave us money for our wedding so we could order the dresser and night stand.
This is one thing I would change about the room. It is nice being able to watch movies in bed, but I hate all the wires!
This is Jarred's hat rack....No matter how many times I take them down he puts them right back up! ha!
Thanks for stopping by. Hope you enjoyed the tour. (This is the newborn photo shoot we did when Ava was 2 weeks old)

Sunday, June 14, 2009

Well, I am hating to see that my two days off with my little girl gone. I just tucked her in bed and a new work week starts tomorrow! I miss her so much when I am there....we have had a great time this weekend. On Saturday we had dinner with friends, it was nice to get out of the house as a family of 3! On Sunday, Elissa and I made cards....we are so behind. Elissa told me she was starting to buy some and we can't have that with all the junk we have to make them! Then Ava and I had dinner with some friends at Chuy's....yummy green dip! I bought a car seat from them so my mom could have one for her car. Thought I would share some pictures from last week. Susie was here helping us on my first week back to work. Our only questions is, "Mamie..when are you coming back?" It was a stressful week for Jarred and I and it was so nice to have her here. We had a great time. I was off on Wednesday so we went to the big scrapbook store, Archivers in Katy. (My father-in-law may not let her come back...ha)Ava may not be a scrapbooker....she was not liking the store! Her Daddy will be so proud! ha Ava loves her Mamie!

Ava is now sleeping in her room. It was hard for me to do, but we thought she may not be as comfortable in the bassinet. Her room is right next to ours so I can hear her well, but I still check on her throughout the night! She is getting so big, so fast!

Back to Work

My first day back to work went pretty well! I cried a little right before I had to leave, but I knew she was in good hands with her Daddy! I called a few hundred times to check in but he did a great job. I have enjoyed watching Jarred with Ava, it has made me love him more! I am so lucky he is such a big help and loves his princess as much as I do! When I got home she was still awake so I held her for a minute and I realized how much I truly did miss her! She smiled when she saw me and that sure makes a mommy's heart swell! ;-)

I was afraid I would not remember how to work after being off so long, but I did great! I guess it is like riding a bike....I just need to pick up a little more speed but I know that will come with time. Everyone was happy to have me back and that sure makes a girl feel good!

1 Day down, 3 to go!

Busy Weekend

We have had a busy weekend. I have been trying to get things done so I will be ready to go back to work. I'm not ready to go back. I have so enjoyed being with my princess these last 10 weeks and I don't want to miss a minute. I am so very blessed that my mom will be helping us watch Ava so we will not have to put her in daycare! I have cooked about 6 meals that are in the freezer and I worked on a few projects to take to work with me! Susie, my MIL, will be here on Tuesday to help us for the first week! We are excited and so glad she is coming!

On Friday we went to eat with Mimi and Ashley! Then we went down to my neighbors that were my second family while growing up. I love and miss them so much. It is always so good to see them. We hang out by the pool and watched the kiddos swim.
We got the neatest book from one of Jarred's customers. It is a book that is autographed and has a special message to Ava from the lady that illustrated it! Jarred was reading it to her and she was loving it!
On Sunday, Jarred's Aunt Velma, Uncle Ruddy, and cousin Whitney came to visit. It was so good to see them. I don't think we have visited with them since we got married. They thought Ava was so precious. Velma wanted to take her home, since she is a teacher she is off for the summer so she thought it would be perfect to help us out! I told her I could not stand just to be away from her for a couple of hours..ha!
My projects that I am taking to work! I had to bring lots of pictures and a sign to let my co-workers know I am pumping...they would not want to walk in on that...ha! I sure hope I remember how to work..ha! It has been a long 8 months of no Walgreens. I can't even remember my password to sign on to the computer so they will have to reset it for me tomorrow. Please pray that all goes well and I don't miss my princess too much! ;-)

Show Us Were You Live Friday---Offices/My Scrapbook Room

Welcome to my office/scrapbook room! This is my favorite room in the house. I have hours and hours of fun in this room! It is also a special room as you will see on your tour. Enjoy!!

This is my hubby's corner of the room. This is where he uses the computer, pays bills, etc...
I am waiting to get a family pic to go in the empty frame. I also need to paint the "T" but I am not sure what color....what do you guys think?
**Notice Sophie in the picture, she loves this room too! I usually put her bed in here when I work on projects! My corner of the room. This is my desk where I work. It is right by the closet so I have easy access to my supplies.

The sign above the window...perfect for a scrapbooking room! The story behind these photos:
When I meet Jarred he already had this house. This was the back bedroom that had no furniture, it was a lonely little room. I was always teasing that maybe one day it could be my scrapbook room! On a Friday afternoon after school I headed over because Jarred and I were going to go on a date. When I got to the house I smelled paint, I asked Jarred, "Did you paint?". He got the cutest look on his face and he said, "Yes, I painted your scrapbook room for you". My thoughts were great it is probably pink or purple....not the colors I would want! ha! As I opened the door to my surprise was WILL YOU MARRY ME? YES or NO spray painted on the wall. Of course I said yes! We took these pictures and it always reminds me what is behind the paint color I picked!

This is how I organize my small letters. I got this container from the container store.

The Closet:
Here is the closet in the room, I use it for nothing but scrapbook supplies, card making supplies and gift wrapping supplies. I try to keep it organized and it seems I am updating it constantly.Yes, I have a paper rack. I bought it when a local scrapbook was going out of business.

This is an idea I got from a scrapbook magazine. Put a shoe organizer on your closet door to hold punches, scissors, markers, etc.....
