I can remember the first time I dropped off Ava at preschool at 18 months it seemed that preschool graduation and starting Kindergarten was so far away. For this I was so glad. The time FLEW by, faster than I could have imagined. I would lie to say this does not bother me. I have enjoyed every stage that preschool brings and I am not ready for it to be over. They had the song "Find your wings" by Mark Harris playing as the graduates walked in. I had tears! Big tears actually! It says at the end of the song....It's not living if you don't reach for the sky. I will have tears as you take off, but I will cheer as you fly....that sums up this basketcase mommy right here!
The graduation was so precious. They interviewed each kiddo.
Name: Ava Tompkins
Favorite color: Pink (Shocker!)
What do you want to be when you grow up: Elsa (Another Shocker!)
They had such a cute program. Songs they learned in music, colors in Spanish, and a fun Jump dance.
Then it was time to get the diploma.
As Ava was walking out she was so excited to see her fan club!
(As you can see, Emma was being a toot! So glad I have many more preschool years with this one!)
Then we headed back to Ava's room to take pictures and collect all her goodies.
Ava has been with these girls for 3 years! So glad their friendships will continue after preschool.
Emma and Carson gave Ava her first flowers! Ava was thrilled!
Here is Ava and her teachers. Mrs. Paula and Mrs. Michelle
And the last picture sums up PRESCHOOL Graduation!
Ava,
I am so proud of you! In your note from your teachers it said you have one of the sweetest spirits. You are kind and loving and a friend to all! And I hope you know that as I do watch you grow that God will fill your heart with dreams and that you would continue with that sweet spirit in all you do! I have LOVED every minute of you preschool days. I will always cherish these memories. I am here for you whatever this life brings, let me my love give you roots and help you find your dreams! IT's not living if you don't reach for the sky. I have tears as you take off but I will always cheer as you fly! Ready or not, Kindergarten here you come! (At least I have 13 more years until highschool graduation! And, I really can't wait to see those dreams God is already laying on your heart! I know he has big plans for you!)
I Love You bigger than the sky!

Graduation Part 1
It's only for a moment you are mine to hold
The plans that heaven has for you
Will all too soon unfold
So many different prayers I'll pray
For all that you might do
But most of all I'll want to know
You're walking in the truth....
And If I never told you
I want you to know
As I watch you grow
I pray that God would fill your heart with dreams
And that faith gives you the courage
To dare to do great things
I'm here for you whatever this life brings
So let my love give you roots
And help you find your wings
May passion be the wind
That leads you through your days
And may conviction keep you strong
Guide you on your way.....
May there be many moments
That make your life so sweet
Oh, but more than memories....
I pray that God would fill your heart with dreams
And that faith gives you the courage
To dare to do great things
I'm here for you whatever this life brings
So let my love give you roots
And help you find your wings
It's not living if you don't reach for the sky

Mother's Day
It's still funny to me I get celebrated to be a mom. I LOVE being a mom, it's my favorite job. I love making memories with these precious girls. I prayed for each one and I am so glad God heard and blessed me with these amazing girls. And, he knew I needed to be a mom to princesses! I love being a girl mom, making bows and necklaces, dressing up, nails, make-up, and even doing hair most days! (It's funny that He knows just what we need!)
We started the day with church then Ava and I went to see our buds in Mulan Jr. Ava loved the play. (I was so glad to learn this about her because I love doing this myself!)
Then we had dinner with Mimi. I was blessed with an amazing mom. She gives and services better than anyone else. After having kiddos my eyes were opened to all she sacrificed and never complained once. I Love you Mom!
Emma and Ava,
Thanks for making me your Mom! You help my world a much happier place! I LOVE you both bigger than the sky!
Love,
Momma

Great Wolf Lodge
Elissa and I took the kiddos on a long weekend to Great Wolf Lodge. It was the perfect way to spend Mother's Day weekend. We had a "splashin" good time!
We had a little trouble getting them out of the room once we checked in. The kids loved their wolf den. (I mean BUNK beds...Hello!)
We timed our trip perfect. No one was there!! The kiddos never had to wait in line and went 100 times OR MORE down the slides.
And Ava and I waited in NO lines to ride the big slides. I was EXHAUSTED after running up those stairs with a TUBE I may add. (I may need to increase my workouts, can you say WAY out of breathe!) Ava was THRILLED. We had a blast together!!
We let the kiddos build an animal. Of course Ava had to dress hers as a cheerleader.
Rainforest Cafe for dinner followed by a train ride for our "train lovin" boy!
And don't forget about story time.
Here are a few more pictures of my water loving girls! We had such a great weekend. Ava is already planning our next trip. (Her and I both share the same love language which would be quailty time!) I would say time well spent this weekend!

March & April "Angagrams
'I realized that March never made it here. Keeping up with the blog is work, but I know I will want to look back at our lives through the years. My new years goal was to keep it up and so far I have done pretty well.
1-3. Dentist appointments. I was so dreading this. Ava HATED her first visit and I have been putting it off. We tried a new dentist(thanks Michelle) and the girls LOVED it! Huge sigh of relief. Happy to report no cavities.
4. My cool "Rutie"
5. Frozen sisters ready for bed
6. Ava started back up her swim lessons. She told us she no longer wanted to do dance, just swim! This girl is just like me....we LOVE the water.
7. Ava's collage wall finally happened!
8. Date night
9. Movie date....The girls loved Mr. Peabody
10. Ava's graduation picture day. How is this happening??
11. Upward cheer season is under way
12. Happy birthday to our best gal Elissa. We sure do love her! God has truely gifted me with the best friends. One of my greatest treasures for sure.
13. Happy St. Patty's Day
14. Jarred put in our new patio. It looks amazing. But, everything he touches outside looks amazing.
15. Frozen is finally out!
16. Probably our 30th trip to Target! We love that place.
1. Emma always finds her way to Ava's bed. I think I will just stop fighting it, one day this will pass. I do pray that my girls keep this love for one another.
2. First snow cone of the season
3. Emma after the first snow cone (yikes! Oxiclean couldn't even fix this)
4. Play date with Ava's best buds
5. The Easter bunny came
6. Easter picture
7-8. Chick-fl-la Brown Bag concert with our favorite girls
9. We love finding new books
10. Ava started tumble. Emma will have to start soon, she hates to leave. They do movie on the mats and Emma LOVES to go.
11. Target trip (surprise! surprise!)
12-13. Doctor appointment for shots. (I think my face says it all!)
14. Ice cream after shots! Hey, they deserved it. They really did so much better than I thought they would.
15. Lunch with Ava before Kindergarten registration. This momma is not ready for this. I try not to dwell on it, but I will miss our weekly fun dates. I love having my kiddos at home.

Mutton Bustin:1.2 seconds of CUTE
1.2 seconds of cute! Yep, that's all he lasted! (Hey, this was good!! Many kiddos chickened out.) In that 1.2 seconds, I managed to get so many cute and kind of hilariously disturbing picutes, since it's essentially a series of young children falling on their heads(or hand in little Johns case).
We sure had a cute cheer section cheering on our favorite little rider.
And, here he goes. All 1.2 seconds.
We were so proud. But he was so upset he didn't make it longer. He didn't know that a lot of the kiddos opted out! (Who could blame them! ha)
This was such a sweet scene for me. If you have ever watched this event you know they tie up one sheep in the center of the arena. Once the ride is over all the other sheep congregate to the one lone sheep. This was such a sweet picture that sheep flock together but Jesus will go after that one sheep that goes away!
Then if was off for some fair rides.

2014 Bluebonnet Pictures
You just can't live in Texas and not take bluebonnet pictures.

Last Easter Post
I am finally getting to the last Easter post.....
Easter seemed to mean so much more for me this year. Studing a chapter in Matthew a week has been so eye opening. It's amazing the details you seem to miss or some that were never known. I was amazed by the obedience and grace that led Jesus offering Himself up as the perfect, sinless sacrifice for us and of course his glorious resurrection. BSF has given me a new love for "the most important" holiday. Ava has learned so much over this year as well. She has been preaching the gospel(she has a little hand motion story). This has so warmed my heart. I can see Jesus stirring in her heart and there is nothing I want more.
The bunny always leaves a trail so the girls know just where to find their baskets.
They were so pleased with the Bunny's selections. (Go Mommy!)
Then it was off to worship our glorious savior! He is RISEN!
After church we had my family over for lunch. Then it was an egg hunt for the kiddos.
I thank God for my family! We are blessed.
