17 Months
17 months is the best age. (I know I kept saying that!) We are having a blast. So many happy memories are being made. Her favorite time during the week is when we are at The Little Gym or swimming. She keeps me busy but I am loving every minute of it.
She is starting to let us know when she does not want to do something. She has a scream that will pierce your ears. Oh My Word!
She may look like daddy, but she eats like her mommy! She loves all my favorite fruits and vegetables. She loves my cooking the best. I feel so blessed! ha I am really glad she does but it puts more pressure on me to cook for her. Lately our weekends have been more low key so I cook 5 or so meals and freeze half. I now have over 10 meals and veggies in the freezer! Can I get an Amen! Eat your heart out little girl~
She is talking more everyday. Yesterday she said air plane and she tries to say her colors. Just don't try to get her to repeat because she has a mind of her own. She knows all her body parts for the most part and even tries to point out others belly buttons at the pool. Not our finest moment!
Your loves right now are~
1. Books
2. Elmo (I don't blame you he is just so cute!)
3. Walks in your car
4. Swimming!
5. The Little Gym!
6. Your ladybug pillow pal
7. Mommy's jewelry
(I can glad Santa is bringing your own! Mine seem to keep getting broke!)
8. Mommy's makeup
9. Yogurt melts
10. Strawberries
11. Cherries
12. Cheetoes
Mommy loves everything about you! My most favorite is when you run up from behind and give me the biggest hugs. And of course those kisses I don't even have to ask for. You are so amazing, such a blessing! Happy 17 months sweet girl!

Last post for Gulf Shores---finallly!
Our last few days of vacation were so relaxing. We went swimming of course, read by the pool, and took naps! It was a vacation that I left feeling very refreshed. It will be one that we add to our must do every few years. Gulf Shores we miss you, can't wait to see you again!
The last day we took Ava to The Little Zoo that Could featured on Animal Plant. It was a small zoo but had so much more to offer than the bigger city zoos. Ava got to feed animals, run with the kangaroos and play with wolf pups. She had a blast! This girl is sure into animals.

Happy Birthday to Andee (Gulf Shores-Day 5)
Happy Birthday Andee!
We ate at the best restaurant in Gulf Shores, Gulf Steamer. If you go, you must eat here! Oh My Word are the thoughts that this memory brings to me. My mouth is watering as I type. Who would not like 5 star seafood that you don't have to dress up for? This restaurant sure earned every star. Shrimp the size of bananas and crab that melts in your mouth! Hello? When we going back?
JD found a 5 star bakery as well. (He really did his research, I am inviting him to every vacation!) It tasted every bit as good as it looked. I will not even mention the cupcakes we went through!
Happy Birthday to one of my Besties! It was great spending your special day with you!

Day ?-- I am losing track
I think this was day 4. I can't seem to remember. I know, pathetic huh? This day the boys played golf in the morning at Kiva Dunes. Jarred played here once before and loved the course, he was excited to be going back. From what I hear it was an interesting morning for them, but they had a great time. We meet them for lunch and then we had a wonderful day of outlet mall shopping. It was an awesome outlet mall, probably double to triple of our size at home. We found some great deals. It is funny that we mainly shop for the girls now. How can you not with all the cute clothes they have? I did get a dress at Ann Taylor that I think I am going to save to wear on my birthday. If you could see it you would know it screams me. Hint: Animal print and a hint of red. I love this picture. All I can say is that Ava and Aubree and lucky to have such great daddies! It really takes a special man to be a great father to girls and I am so thankful that these guys are the best.

Waterpark, beach, and pool
As you can see this vacation was all about the water. It is what we love. (Well, me and Ava!)
We went to the waterpark because they had a huge play are for kiddos. Let's just say it did not plan out the way we wanted. After about 45 minutes of playing one of the lifeguards approached and told us only one at a time on the slides. What!?! She is not big enough to go down by herself. Money back and one girl not ready to leave.
She was not upset for long. How could she be when it was time for the beach. This girl was in love with the waves. Not really the sand. She kept wanting us to brush it from her hands. Sorry Ava, it was a little impossible.
Can you really call it a fun day at the beach if daddy does not bury you? Nah...
Time for some fun for the dads!
Aubree did not want to be her feet in. The pool is more her style!
Then it was pool time.
DORKS!
Someone was not ready to get out. This picture cracks me up! What a funny girl!

Highlights from Day 2
Andee, JD, and Aubree came to stay with us for a few days and we had the best time! It is so great to have friends that are more like family.
The girls had so much fun getting ready on our first morning together. I hope they are always friends and like to hang out together. It makes for happy parent time. Do you think these girls are going to be girly? Nah....
That night we went to a neat restaurant called the Hangout. That is really what is was. Such a great place just to hangout and get some yummy food. They had a huge sand hill that the kids could run up and down, water troughs, and a bubble machine. The kids loved the bubble machine. I thought it was going to make little bubbles but it was more like a giant bubble bath on the ground. You have to admit that this is pretty neat!?!
We really were so glad that The Kesners' spent a few days with us. We are really lucky to have such wonderful friends. Thankful for sure! I loved feeling like I lived with my old room mate again. It is funny how much you can miss someone.

Destination Gulf Shores.
Interesting facts from the road.
A seven hour drive feels more like 14 with hubs singing in his high pitched voice to 80s songs.
If you don’t have a light for your Kindle, a hunting headlamp works great. Yes people passing that was me. I know I looked crazy but it worked. (I will add a light to my Christmas list!)
There is a Frost, LA (Yes, Brooke there really is!)
I only saw one Hobby Lobby on our road trip. (Yikes! What is a scrapbooker to do?) I did at least count 9 Targets.
There was a state park called Tickfew. Who would stay there?
We passed 4 state lines.
